Blue Nectar® Tequila Wins 2011 TEQUILA.net “Best of the Best” Award
Southfield, MI (December 1, 2011) – Blue Nectar Spirits Company is thrilled to announce its Blue Nectar® Special Reserve is the winner of a 2011 TEQUILA.net “Best of the Best” Award for Best Infused Tequila. The TEQUILA.net Awards is an exclusive, private tasting open to all submitted “Spirits of Mexico” within the last year.

There were more than 277 submittals from over 100 brands for this year’s TEQUILA.net tasting. Industry judges spent more than one week sampling Mexican spirits including Tequila, Mezcal, Sotol, Bacanora, and Destilado de Agave. Only the top brands from each category are awarded the TEQUILA.net “Best of the Best” award.

According to TEQUILA.net, the 2011 Awards marked the largest and most respected “Spirits of Mexico” tasting competition ever in the United States. Aficionados and industry professionals donated their time to accurately blind taste products from each category. 2011 Infused Tequila Winners included Blue Nectar Special Reserve, Suavecito Tequila Blanco and Tanteo Jalapeño Infusion.
