Blue Nectar® Tequila Wins Big at WSWA 69th Annual Convention & Exposition
Southfield, MI (April 6, 2012)—Michigan-based Blue Nectar Spirits Company today announced its Blue Nectar® Tequila (Blue Nectar) was recognized at the Wine and Spirits Wholesalers of America (WSWA) 69th Annual Convention & Exposition in Las Vegas, Nevada. On Wednesday, April 4th, the convention featured the Wine & Spirits Tasting Competition in partnership with The Tasting Panel Magazine. The panel was comprised of a number of highly esteemed wine and spirits experts including some of the country’s finest sommeliers, wine directors, consultants, merchants, and mixologists. The nearly 1,000 wines and spirits that exhibited at the convention were judged in the tasting competition. Blue Nectar took home two awards including a Gold Medal for its Reposado and a Silver Medal for its Special Reserve.

Held at Caesars Palace from April 2-5, 2012, this year’s convention turned out nearly 2,000 attendees. The event featured an impressive lineup of distinguished speakers, cutting-edge informational sessions, new product tastings and exciting competitions including the tasting competition in which Blue Nectar participated. The convention brings together beverage-alcohol suppliers and distributors, industry executives, mixologists, brand ambassadors and lifestyle professionals from across the country.
