Blue Nectar® Tequila Named Triple Gold Medal Winner at MicroLiquor Spirit Awards
Southfield, MI (August 2, 2012) – Michigan-owned and operated Blue Nectar Spirits Company is pleased to announce its Blue Nectar® Tequila (Blue Nectar) was named a Triple Gold Medal winner at last month’s second annual MicroLiquor Spirit Awards. Known as the world’s first spirits competition for small brands, eligible spirits must sell less than 50,000 9-liter cases per year. Of the remarkable 263 entries from across the globe, only 9% were recognized with a Triple Gold Medal having earned a Gold Medal in both the “Tasting” and “Packaging & Design” categories. Blue Nectar was among those brands acknowledged in both categories, and the only tequila to win three Triple Gold Medals, as it took home the following awards for its three expressions – the Silver, Reposado and Special Reserve:
